Polka Dot Party

It has been awhile since I posted on my blog. It has been such a busy summer. Lots of working in the garden, playing with the kids, and catching up on some summer reading.

One of the most fun things I did this summer was to help plan a Polka Dot Birthday party for my granddaughter, Lily. This was her very first "friend" party. She was so excited and it was fun to be a part of it. I wanted to share with all of you some pics of the party. Check out how cute the Polka Dot Placemats looked on the table. I made every one of them, (all twelve!!!) by hand and personalized them with each girl's initial. The other side of the placemat is a chalkcloth mat and they had a blast participating in a drawing contest after they had their polka dot cake and ice cream. (yes, even the ice cream was Polka dot!!) It was so much fun. It truly was the highlight of the summer for me.
